The design of the trap bar OPEN-X allows for the ability to switch out the handles for different grip options.
This can be based on a change in diameter (32mm, 35mm or 38mm) or surface finish (zinc, black oxide, stainless steel).
A textured pattern on the surface of the handles was designed to provide ultimate comfort and reduce slippage during use.
Good knurling in combination with a well-chosen diameter can help you break personal records.
You can choose (or change) the length of the loading sleeves according to your needs.
We have also added an option to remove them quickly and easily – it not only affects the storage space and handling, but also the weight of the trap bar itself.
Easily interchangeable sleeves offer the option to use them for other FITRON products as well (e.g. swiss bar).

To load the OPEN-X trap bar, you simply need to flip it over and the feet will lift the plates for you, which greatly simplifies the loading process. The feet are rounded, which eliminates damage to the floor.

Since the handles are the primary point of contact when using a trap bar, their surface is one of the most important parameters. Since there is no perfect surface finish that meets all 3 main criteria (grip quality, corrosion protection, and good price), we have left the choice to you. Imagine it like choosing the right tires for your car – you have to consider the conditions in which you will be using them, how much you are willing to spend, and what your priorities are.
It is known that raw steel offers the best grip. The only surface treatment that does not impact this grip is blackening.
It also provides a pleasant matte appearance, so the handles stand out nicely in combination with many colors. The disadvantage of this surface finish is its lower corrosion resistance, and after a while, some care may be required.
Zinc plating is a proven classic among surface finishes. Zinc plating provides a standard silver-bluish surface created by applying a microlayer of zinc.
It provides excellent corrosion protection, but slightly dulls the texture of the knurling, resulting in a slightly slicker surface compared to raw steel.
The handles of the Trap bar OPEN-X can also be made of stainless steel. This guarantees protection against corrosion even in the most aggressive environments.
Since no extra layer is added to the steel, the grip is not affected either. This is the best, but also the most expensive option.

Awesome heavy duty bar made in EU with many features at a reasonable price. Not much else to say. I look forward to using this bar when trap bar work comes around in my training blocks.

The trapbar is amazing. It arrived exactly as configured and packaged very well. The finish is perfect, the knurling on the stainless steel handles is very nice. The jack functionality works great even on soft tiles and the bar is perfectly balanced! Very happy with my purchase (already hit a PR on TB deadlift). There was a small issue with the shipping but it was handled quickly and very professionally – I will definitely buy more equipment.
Delivery time was very fast, packaging was very good. Built quality is also good. I got this trapbar as opposed to traditional trapbars mainly for the easy plate loading, and it works as promised. I don’t think there currently is a better open trapbar out there (apart from eleiko maybe but that one is expensive as f*ck). Props to this Slovakian company for manufacturing such high quality equipment.
Trapbar is indeed balanced very well. Loading parts are nicely machined, standard Olympic plates and locks fit perfect. Handles have very nice grip, no need for gloves. It was packed on pallett, arrived without damage.
Arrived in good condition, very well packed. I am still testing but first impression is really good.
